A Funded Scholarship or Scholarship Award may be named in honor or memory of an individual, a family, or an institution. The donor, based on his/her own set of criteria, in accordance with the standards set by the Santa Barbara Catholic School may select his/her particular scholar beneficiary/ies.

In celebration of Catholic Schools Week, Santa Barbara Catholic School will be holding a Youth Camp.

  • Theme: "Nurturing Catholic Schools' Servant Leaders through Faith, Academics and Service"

  • Date: February 4, 2012, 8:00AM to 3:00PM

  • Venue: SBCS Multi-Purpose Room

This aims to promote and increase awareness of the importance and value of servant leadership as the foundation of missionary vocation of the young servant leaders of the Catholic schools, and, most importantly, of the Church.  There will be talks to be given by invited speakers, interaction among participants and sharing of talents from the delegates of the different Catholic schools.

“Conversatorio” with Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor

Selected 40 SBCS students from Grades 5 to 8 are going to the University of Guam for a “Conversatorio” (“conversation” in Spanish) with Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor today, January 27, 2012. They will be joining other participants in the island to meet with the 3rd ever woman and 1st ever Latina justice in the US Supreme Court.
